Please consult the size chart, and choose your size carefully. Sweatpants are not returnable or exchangeable. These sweatpants will shrink considerably on the first washing. Expect the pant length to shrink about 4" - 6". We make the pants extremely oversized to allow for this shrinkage. The size chart attached show the measurements before washing (they are huge). If you have any questions please give us a call. We understand that this is a somewhat difficult item to order over the internet, and suggest that you do not order this item if you are not comfortable with the sizing risks.
We recommend on the 1st washing, to wash warm, and lay flat to dry. Your cotton sweatshirt will dry in a few hours. This will control the shrinkage during the 1st washing cycle. When worn, the fabric will "relax" and give back about 1/2 what was lost in the shrinkage. The sweatshirt will only go through this shrinkage cycle one time. High heat will dry out cotton fabric. We recommend laying flat to dry your heavy cotton sweatshirt.
All the seams on every Kellsport heavyweight sweatshirt are sewn twice for extra strength. Kellsport sweatshirts need to last from 7 - 10 years, and we make sure that they do. We've been doing it this way for almost 40 years.
Sweatpants are not exchangeable or returnable for any reason. If you have not worn these before, or are not comfortable with the sizing risks, please do not buy this item. It is the greatest pair of sweatpants available anywhere. And they will last for years and years. But it can be difficult to guess on the correct size because of the way we have to make them. They are very long when new. The legs will shrink from 4" - 6" when washed, and the legs get narrow. When worn, the fabric gives back most of the shrinkage in the width. The fabric goes through this shrinkage cycle only one time. We have thousands of people that have been buying these pants for 30+ years.
